Youth Recreation Club Treasurer Stole From Nonprofit: NYSP
Police said the man was accused of stealing more than $40,000 from the organization.
LAGRANGE, NY — A Dutchess County man was accused of stealing thousands of dollars from a nonprofit youth recreation club.
The New York State Police said troopers arrested Monday Robert R. Dichiara, 65, of LaGrange, and charged him with third-degree grand larceny and first-degree scheme to defraud, felonies.
Police said, after receiving a complaint, the Bureau of Criminal Investigation determined Dichiara stole more than $43,000 while designated as the treasurer of the tax-exempt Arlington Lacrosse Developmental Club.

He was arraigned in the Town of LaGrange Court and released under the supervision of Dutchess County Probation.
Dichiara is next scheduled to appear before the court July 18.
