2 Arrested For Times Square Gang Stabbing, Police Say
An 18-year-old was stabbed in the torso during a November robbery in the Times Square subway station.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — Two men are facing gang assault and robbery charges in relation to a November mugging in the Times Square subway station, an NYPD spokesman said.
Albert Diaz, 18, has been charged with robbery and Fredrick Delacruz, 29, has been charged with gang assault and assault for the Nov. 24 robbery and stabbing of a young man, police said. Diaz and Delacruz were part of a seven-person group that committed the violent mugging, police said.
The group approached an 18-year-old victim while he was walking on a staircase of the Times Square subway station shortly before 5 a.m. on Nov. 24 and physically assaulted him, police said. During the attack, one of the muggers stabbed the victim in the torso with a knife, police said.

The robbers stole the victim's coat and bookbag, which contained a UPS work vest, police said. The victim was taken to an area hospital in stable condition following the stabbing, police said.
