5 Injured In MTA Bus Crash With Bucket Lift Truck In Midtown: Police
A worker was inside the bucket of the lift truck when the side of a M6 bus collided into it, police said.

MIDTOWN, NY — A Manhattan bus collided with a bucket lift truck on Monday evening in the heart of Midtown, police said, leaving five people injured.
At around 8:30 p.m., a M6 bus was traveling on Madison Avenue near East 48th Street when the right side of the bus smashed into the protruding bucket of a lift truck, smashing a number of windows on the bus, officials said.
The 56-year-old bus driver and a worker inside of the bucket apparatus of the truck suffered minor injuries and back pain, and were both brought to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition, police said.

Officials said that three other passengers were taken to nearby hospitals for minor injuries, but had no other details to offer on their conditions or how they were injured.
The NYPD spokesperson also could not confirm if the boom lift was in operation at the time of the collision, only adding that the investigation remains ongoing.
