7 Trains Briefly Suspended Between Queens, Manhattan: MTA
Service was eventually restored with extensive delays just after 9 a.m. for the Wednesday rush hour.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — Subway service between Queens and Manhattan on the 7 line was suspended briefly Wednesday morning after a train broke down leaving Grand Central Terminal, according to MTA officials.
Train service between the boroughs was shut down for about 10 to 15 minutes shortly after 9 a.m., MTA officials said. Service was restored when the MTA managed to remove a train suffering "mechanical problems" from the tracks.
Extensive delays persisted after service was restored, MTA officials said.

UPDATE: 7 trains are getting back on schedule in both directions after we removed a train with mechanical problems from service at Vernon Blvd-Jackson Av.
