Armed Muggers Sought After Early Morning Midtown Stick-Up: NYPD
A trio of crooks armed with a gun mugged a man at 2 a.m. and fled in a new Jeep, police said.

MIDTOWN, NY — A trip of muggers armed with a gun robbed a man in Midtown on an early September morning, police say.
A 45-year-old man was standing near Sixth Avenue and West 44th Street at around 2:20 a.m. on Sept. 18 when a pair of men walked up to him and pulled out a pistol from a fanny pack, according to officials.
The men made threatening remarks and ripped away the man's iPhone and at least $1,500 worth of jewelry from the victim, police said.

Nearby, a woman sat behind the wheel of a newer model Jeep Compass that the two muggers climbed into before speeding off westbound on West 44th Street.
Police released images of the suspects and of the getaway Jeep.
