Artichoke Pizza Opens New Midtown Location
The popular pizza spot is serving up its signature artichoke slices on Broadway and West 39th Street.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — New York City pizza spot Artichoke Basille’s Pizza opened its newest location in Midtown Manhattan blocks away from Times Square on Thursday, business owners announced.
The new Artichoke Pizza opened its doors at 1410 Broadway near West 39th Street. The store is Artichoke Pizza's 12th location in New York City. Business owners say that the proximity to Times Square will bring a beloved local spot to a spot dominated by business catering to out of towners.
"Everyone sees Times Square as the center of New York City, and we’re thrilled that Artichoke Basille’s Pizza is finally open in such a popular, buzzing area," Francis Garcia, co-founder and co-owner of Artichoke Basille's, said in a statement. “We’re ready to start serving our authentic, New York-style slices and pies to everyone passing through Midtown, from local New Yorkers who know and love us, to the thousands of tourists who take their first bite of Artichoke at this shop."

Artichoke's newest location is a 1,100 square foot outpost that offers takeout only, a throwback to the company's original location in the East Village. Artichoke's signature slices and pies, such as the artichoke and crab pizzas, will be offered at the location.
Garcia founded Artichoke Basille’s Pizza with his cousin Sal Basille in 2008. The pair hail from a family of New York City pizzaiolos. The business is currently expanding and operates 16 total location in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and California. Ten more locations are planned to open soon, according to a company press release.
