MIDTOWN, NY — A teenage boy was shot in Times Square late on Halloween night, police said.

A 16-year-old boy was shot in his left shoulder at about 10 p.m. at Eighth Avenue and West 44th Street, officials said.

First responders rushed the teen to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition, police said.

Officers arrested five at the scene, but no charges have been filed against them as of Wednesday morning, according to officials.

The shooting may have erupted from a dispute and the victim was with a group at the time, according to Gothamist.
