Bucket Hat-Wearing Bank Robber Strikes In Hell's Kitchen: Police
The man was handed $1,000 in cash after slipping a bank teller a threatening note.

HELL'S KITCHEN, NY — The NYPD is trying to identify a man who robbed a bank in Hell's Kitchen, police said.
The man entered a Chase bank branch on Ninth Avenue and and West 55th Street around 8:50 a.m. Monday and approached a bank teller, police said. The man then slipped a threatening note demanding that the teller hand him money, police said.
The teller complied with the man's demand and handed him $1,000 in cash, police said. After receiving the money, the bank robber fled heading west on 55th Street, police said.

The suspect is described as a man in his 30s standing 5-foot-8 and weighing about 140 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black bucket hat, black shirt and a black backpack., police said.
