Child Hospitalized After Midtown Shooting: Police

MIDTOWN, NY – A 12-year-old boy was shot in Chelsea on Sunday night, a police spokesperson told Patch.

The victim, who was hit in the left leg, was transported to Bellevue Hospital, where he remains in stable condition as of this morning, police said.

The shooting occurred just after 9 p.m., outside of 124 West 30th Street between 6th and 7th avenues, according to police.

Three men fled the scene, where a shell casing was recovered, police said.

No arrests have been made and an investigation is ongoing.
