Parks Worker Swiped Cell Phone At Hell's Kitchen Playground: NYPD
A cleaning worker with the city's Parks Department is accused of swiping a man's cell phone from McCaffrey Playground.

MIDTOWN, NY — A city Parks Department worker was caught red handed Thursday trying to swipe a man's cell phone in a Midtown playground, police said.
Authorities busted cleaning worker David Alexander, 41, in McCaffrey Playground at West 43rd Street and Ninth Avenue just after 1 p.m. after a witness spotted Alexander grabbing a 37-year-old man's phone, police said. The phone was retrieved and returned to the victim, authorities said.
Alexander is charged with petty larceny and criminal possession of stolen property, said officials. He is due in court July 6.
