City's Largest Citi Bike Station Installed In Hell's Kitchen
The 79-dock station on West 59th Street and 10th Avenue is tied for the largest in Citi Bike's system.
HELL'S KITCHEN, NY — With the recent addition of dozens of bike docks to a Citi Bike station in Hell's Kitchen, the neighborhood now boasts on of the largest bike share station in the city.
The Citi Bike station at West 59th Street and 10th Avenue is tied for the largest in the city with a dock on East 35th Street in Murray Hill with 79 bikes. Citi Bike recently installed 24 new docks at the Hell's Kitchen station as part of a citywide initative to increase the capacity of the bike share system, a spokesman for the company said.
The dock additions at West 59th Street are part of an initiative to add 1,250 more bikes and 2,500 more docks at some of the city's busiest Citi Bike stations. Other stations located between Canal and 59th Street in Manhattan and in North Brooklyn are also due for capacity upgrades, a Citi Bike spokesperson said.

The initiative has resulted in 350 new docks as of early January and is expected to bring many more docks to the system before the spring season's warm weather.
