Crooked Armed Duo Fail In Midtown Carjacking Attempt: Police
A pair with aspirations of grand theft auto were unable to steal a man's car behind Port Authority on Wednesday morning, police said.

MIDTOWN, NY — A pair of armed early morning thieves attempted to carjack a driver behind Port Authority on Wednesday morning, police said.
The gun-toting crooks targeted a car behind the Port Authority Bus Terminal, at Ninth Avenue and West 40th Street, at about 6:35 a.m. police said.
Officials said the duo made their intentions clear by walking up to the driver and waving a gun.

While police offered no further details, they said the carjacking attempt failed, and the pair of aspirant grand theft auto thieves remained pedestrians as they fled south on Ninth Avenue.
