Crowbar-Wielding Crooks Rob Men In Wollman Rink And Midtown: Cops
Five violent early birds threatened a man with a crowbar in Central Park and slapped a Turtle Bay man for $6 the next day, police say.

MIDTOWN, NY — Crowbar-wielding early-birds robbed a man in a Central Park rink, then slapped and mugged a man in Turtle Bay the next day, officials said.
The gang of five surrounded a 54-year-old man inside Central Park's Wollman Rink about 6:30 a.m. Sunday, July 16, police said.
A struggle ensued and, when the dust-up finished, the man was uninjured but $200 poorer, police said.

The same crooks mugged a 61-year-old man near Beekman Place and East 51st Street in Turtle Bay the following morning about 5:30 a.m., , according to police.
The group stole the man's phone and $6 from his pocket then slapped him and fled, according to police.

Officials said the man was not injured, despite the slap.
Police released images of people they claim are associated with the incidents.
