Dog On Tracks Stalls Midtown Trains During Evening Rush: MTA
Northbound Q trains were being held in stations after a dog was spotted between West 34th and 42nd street stations.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — Trains were held in Midtown Manhattan during Thursday night's evening rush hour because a dog was spotted on the subway tracks, MTA officials announced.
Northbound Q trains were being held in Manhattan stations after the dog was seen between Weest 34th and 42nd streets around 5:45 p.m., the MTA announced. MTA crews were sent to look for the lost pooch and rescue it from the tracks.
An MTA spokesman said that crews were still looking for the dog around 6:30. Train service resumed, but trains are running at slow speeds and crews remain on the lookout.

The dog, an 8-month-old cocker spaniel puppy, was brought into the 34th Street-Herald Square station by its owner when it freed itself from its harness and escaped onto the tracks, the Daily News first reported.
"'We are experiencing delays because of a puppy on the tracks at 34th street,' is officially my new favorite train announcement. BUT OMG THAT PUPPY SOMEONE SAVE IT!!!" one commuter wrote on social media.
