Road Rage Driver Hits Man In Hell's Kitchen, Police Say

A man intentionally struck another motorist after an argument about their driving quality.

HELL'S KITCHEN, NY — A motorist was arrested Wednesday morning after striking another driver in a fit of road rage, an NYPD spokeswoman said.

Oscar Bejar, 31, was driving on West 57th Street and 11th Avenue around 7:30 a.m. when he got into an argument with a 43-year-old motorist about his quality of driving, an NYPD spokeswoman said. During the argument, Bejar intentionally rammed the other man with his car, the spokeswoman said.

Police arrive on the scene and arrested Bejar, an NYPD spokeswoman said. Charges against him are currently pending.

The 43-year-old victim was taken to an area hospital suffering minor injuries, police said.

An NYPD spokeswoman could not confirm the type of vehicle each man was driving.
