Drowning Person Rescued From Midtown Pier: FDNY

First responders rescued a person drowning off of Pier 76 early Friday morning, officials said.

MIDTOWN, NY — A person drowning in the Hudson River was rescued early Friday morning, according to FDNY officials.

A rescue swimmer pulled the drowning person out of the water near Pier 76 on West 40th Street about 9:15 a.m., officials said.

The person was then taken to Mount Sinai West, the FDNY said.
