Enjoy Blues Music And BBQ At Hudson River Park On Saturday

The free annual Blues BBQ Festival returns to Pier 76 on Saturday, Aug. 10, from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.

MIDTOWN, NY – The 24th annual Blues BBQ Festival takes place at Pier 76 on Saturday.

The free daylong event is headlined by Alexis P. Suter, Blackcat Zydeco featuring Dwight Carrier, Sheryl Youngblood, and Joe Louis Walker and the Altered Five Blues Band.

Another stage presents local talent, including Phil Young & his House of Blues, Tina Fabrique, Charlie Burnham, Beareather Reddy, and Gordon Lockwood.

And then there’s the barbeque. Enjoy favorites like Mighty Quinn’s, Blue Smoke, Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, Kimchi Smoke, Jase’s BBQ, Bark BBQ, as well as Chef Big Papa from Big Papa Smokem. There’s ice cream, too, from La Newyorkina. Worry about the calories later.

The festival is family-friendly and kids can enjoy arts and crafts, an instrument petting zoo, and a game zone.

Perfect weather is forecast on Saturday: sunny with a high near 80.

A relatively new piece of Hudson River Park, Pier 76 opened in 2021. It's located near the Javits Center, just north of 34th Street, right on the Hudson.
