Fire Strikes Midtown Building Early Sunday Morning: FDNY

The fire hit a Fifth Avenue building at about 7:45 a.m. on Sunday, fire officials said.

MIDTOWN, NY — A fire broke out in a Midtown building on Sunday morning, according to officials.

At about 7:45 a.m., the blaze started on the third floor of a five-story building at Fifth Avenue between East 35th and 36th streets, according to FDNY officials.

The building contains several businesses, including a software company and a high-end fly-fishing retailer, according to online listings.

60 firefighters responded to the blaze and had it snuffed out in less than 30 minutes, according to the fire department.

No injuries were reported, officials said.
