Macy's Shopper Punched In Face At Flagship Store, Police Say

A man shopping at Macy's Herald Square was attacked and robbed inside the store by two unknown men.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — A man shopping at the flaship Herald Square location of Macy's was assaulted and robbed in the store, police said.

A 46-year-old man was inside the West 34th Street department store on Saturday night when he was approached by two unknown men, police said. One of the men acted as a lookout while the other punched the shopper in the face, police said.

The shopper fell to the ground and the two men stole his shopping bags and fled the store to a nearby subway station, police said. The victim suffered lacerations to his face, police said.

Police relaesed photos of the two suspects taken on store securrity cameras (see above). One of the suspects was last seen wearing a black hooded jacket with orange lines and black pants and the other suspect was last seen wearing a black sweater with white stripes, black sweat pants, black sneakers and a black winter hat.
