Man Assaults, Yells Slurs At Asian Woman In Midtown, Police Say
A man yelled "Go back to China" at a 63-year-old Asian woman in Midtown before shoving her and throwing food at her husband, police aid.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — Police are investigating a possible hate crime after a man assaulted and shouted slurs at an Asian woman in Midtown this week, authorities said.
The attack happened just after 6:30 p.m. Sunday on the corner of Broadway and West 54th Street.
The victim, a 63-year-old woman, was with her 60-year-old husband when they were approached by an unidentified man who punched her in the face and shoved her to the ground.

He yelled, "F---ing Chinese, go back to China," police said, and threw food at the woman's husband.
Police shared video of the suspect jumping on his bicycle right after the attack and heading south along Broadway. The woman suffered back pain but declined medical attention at the scene.
