Man Breaks A Tooth In Midtown Subway Station Assault, Police Say

MIDTOWN, NY — A 48-year-old man was randomly attacked while waiting for the subway at the 51st Street subway station, New York City Police Department officials said.

According to the NYPD, on Sunday at 1:10 p.m., the victim was waiting for the 6 train on the downtown platform when a man swung a piece of wood at the victim's face, breaking one of his teeth.

The perpetrator ran away, and no arrests have been made yet, but the investigation is ongoing, police said.

Police said that the victim refused medical attention at the scene.
