Man Fires Gun In Midtown Wednesday Evening, Police Say

Officials are looking for a man who they say fired a handgun on West 46th Street just before 8 p.m.

MIDTOWN, NY — A man shot a gun in the middle of Midtown on Wednesday evening, according to police.

At about 7:55 p.m., an unknown man on West 46th Street near Sixth Avenue fired a pistol towards an unknown target, officials said.

Investigators said that no injuries were reported and that the man then fled into the West 53rd Street - Lexington Avenue subway station.

The man is still at large, and in addition to released images, police described him as appearing around 20-years-old, about five foot six and weighing around 150 pounds.
