Man Found Dead Near Bryant Park, Police Say

The man's body was found Saturday morning. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — The NYPD is investigating the death of a man whose body was found across the street from Bryant Park, police said.

Officers arrived at 50 W. 40th St., located between Fifth and Sixth avenues, shortly after 6 a.m. Saturday to find 32-year-old Timothy Clarke unconscious and unresponsive, police said. EMS responded to the scene and declared the man dead, police said.

Clarke's last known address is Greenwood Lake, New York, police said. The small town of just about 3,500 people is located near New York's border with New Jersey.

The city medical examiner's office will investigate Clarke's official cause of death, police said.
