MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — The NYPD is trying to identify a man wanted for groping a woman within the Times Square subway station, police said.

On the afternoon of Jan. 11, the man reached out and grabbed a 55-year-old by the crotch as they passed each other in a station walkway, police said. The woman immediately confronted the man and chased him onto the N/Q/R platform, where she lost sight of her attacker.

Police released a photo of the suspect (seen above) taken on a station security camera. The man is described as being 30 to 55 years old, standing 5-foot-10 and weighing between 145 and 170 pounds, police said. He was last seen wearing a black and white beanie, a beige coat with a fur collar, dark pants, a multi-colored scarf and a dark backpack.
