Man Randomly Punches Passerby Near High Line, Police Say
Police asked for help finding a man accused of randomly punching a 66-year-old man in Chelsea earlier this month.

CHELSEA, NY — Police asked for help finding a man accused of randomly punching a passerby in Chelsea earlier this month.
The assault happened around 7:40 p.m. on Aug. 4 near the corner of 10th Avenue and West 29th Street, steps away from the High Line.
The victim, a 66-year-old man, was walking on the sidewalk when the unidentified suspect walked up and punched him in the face, unprovoked, police said.

He was treated at the scene for cuts to the head. The assailant kept walking east along West 29th Street, police said.

Police shared photos of the suspect on Sunday and asked anyone with information to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). People can also submit tips online or on Twitter, @NYPDTips.
