Man Slashed In Neck, Head At Grand Central: Cops

Police are still looking for the suspect in an attack last that happened on Thursday evening, officials said.

MIDTOWN, NY — Police are looking for a man in connection to a slashing in Grand Central Station that left a man with wounds to his head and neck, officials said.

On Thursday at about 8:50 p.m., a 41-year-old man was waiting on the southbound 4/5/6 train platform at Grand Central Station when he got into some sort of verbal argument with a stranger, officials said.

The verbal disagreement turned into a physical one, leading to the unknown man slashing the 41-year-old victim in the neck and head with a sharp object, police said.

First responders brought the wounded man on NYU Langone Medical Center in stable condition, and the slashed fled the station on foot, police said.

In addition to releasing a photo of a person police are looking for, officials described the man as about 35 to 45-years-old, between five foot 10 inches to six feet tall and about 200 pounds.
