Man Slashed On Subway At 42nd Street; Suspect Sought: Police

Police asked for help identifying a man accused of slashing a fellow passenger in the face on a train in Midtown this week.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — Police are looking for a man accused of slashing a fellow passenger with a knife on a subway in Midtown this week.

The assault happened around 9:25 p.m. Wednesday on a downtown A train that was leaving the 42nd Street-Port Authority station.

The unidentified suspect approached a 21-year-old man and slashed him with a pocket knife, cutting him above the left eye.

The train stopped before it left the station and the suspect got off and left the station. The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he was treated for his injuries and released.
