Man Smashed With Glass Bottle In Midtown: Police

The person was hit with a glass bottle several times in the head and chest, officials said.

MIDTOWN, NY — A man was beaten with a glass bottle in a late-night attack near Penn Plaza in Midtown, police said.

A 22-year-old man was hit multiple times in the head and chest with a glass bottle at about 11:45 p.m. on Sept. 30, officials said.

The brutal beating happened as the victim was standing near Penn Plaza near West 31st Street and Seventh Avenue, according to police.

Officials reported that the attacker approached the young man and the started pummeling him with the bottle in the head and chest.

First responders brought the victim to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition, police said.

Images of a man believed to be connected to the incident were also released by officials.
