Man Stabbed On 6 Train At Grand Central Rush Hour Thursday: Police

MIDTOWN, NY — A straphanger was stabbed on board a downtown-bound 6 train during the morning commute on Thursday at Grand Central Station, police said.

At about 8:55 a.m., a man was stabbed by another man on board the train at the storied train station, officials said.

While police had few details to immediately share, a spokesperson said that the victim was in stable condition.

Immediately after the attack, southbound 6 trains were running express from Grand Central-42 St to Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall, but since then regular local service has resumed with delays, according to the MTA.
