Man Stabbed In Back After Attempted Mugging Near Bryant Park: Police
The stabbing happened at about 1 a.m. Wednesday morning, police said.

MIDTOWN, NY — A man was stabbed multiple times near Bryant Park by a pair of crooks who tried to rob him, police said.
The 58-year-old victim was walking across the street from the famous Midtown park at about 1 a.m. on Wednesday when a pair of robbers walked up to him and demanded he hand over his stuff, according to police.
As the man tried to fight off the muggers, one of them used a sharp object to stab his back multiple times before the duo fled empty handed, police said.

First responders brought the wounded man to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition where he was being treated for minor injuries, officials said.
