Man Stabbed To Death In Midtown Near Port Authority, Police Say
A man who was recently arrested for swinging a hatchet at passersby was stabbed to death on a Midtown street Friday, police said.

HELL'S KITCHEN, NY — A man who had been accused just days ago of threatening people on a Hell's Kitchen street was stabbed to death Friday following a fight with another man, police said.
The killing early Friday happened after the 49-year-old victim bumped into a 28-year-old man, leading to an argument that escalated into a fight, police said.

Hours later, police identified the suspect as Bronx resident Jesus Ramirez, and charged him with murder.
A police spokesperson described Torres as a "problematic person in the area," alleging that he had been seen swinging a hatchet and an axe last week. Torres had been arrested on Aug. 12 for menacing, according to police.
