Man Stabbed On Midtown Subway Train, Police Say
Police are looking for a man accused of stabbing a fellow passenger in a fight on a subway car near Rockefeller Center.
MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — A man was stabbed on board a subway train in Midtown on Monday, according to police, who released video that shows the suspect.
The victim, a 27-year-old man, was riding a downtown D train around 2:15 a.m. Monday as it pulled into the 47-50 Sts.-Rockefeller Center station, police said.
As the train arrived, an unknown man walked up to him and the two got into an argument, police said. The argument escalated into a fight, and the suspect took out a pocket knife and stabbed the man in the torso, police said.

The victim was rushed to a hospital in stable condition, while the suspect got off the train and left the subway system, police said.
Police released video Tuesday showing the suspect passing through a turnstile and walking down a subway platform.

Authorities described him as a man in his 50s, about 5 feet 9 inches tall with a husky build, balding hair, and a goatee. He was last seen wearing a black long-sleeve shirt, black sweatpants and white sneakers, police said.
