Man Stabbed Outside Port Authority Bus Terminal, Police Say

The victim was treated at Bellevue Hospital for non life-threatening wounds.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — The NYPD is investigating as stabbing outside the Port Authority Bus Terminal that left one man hospitalized, a department spokesman told Patch.

The stabbing occurred Tuesday on the corner of West 40th Street and Eighth Avenue around 10 p.m., an NYPD spokesman said. Witnesses told officers that a man in a gray jacket, black pants and red and white sneakers fled the scene, the spokesman said.

The man who was stabbed was rushed to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition, police said. His injuries are not expected to be life threatening. An NYPD spokesman could not identify the man or reveal his age.

No arrests have been made in connection to the stabbing, an NYPD spokesman said. A motive for the stabbing is currently unknown.
