Man Stabbed In Times Square Subway Station, Police Say

A fight between two men in the Times Square subway station ended with one stabbing the other Tuesday night, according to police.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — A man was stabbed inside the Times Square subway station late Tuesday during a fight with another man, according to police.

The 31-year-old man was stabbed in the left leg just before 11 p.m. by a man in his fifties, police said.

While an NYPD spokesperson could not confirm the exact location, the New York Post reported that it happened in a station mezzanine near the 42nd Street Shuttle platform.

Video posted to Twitter shows blood splattered on the shuttle platform as police tend to an injured man.

The assailant, who was wearing a dark blue jacket, fled on the shuttle train after the stabbing, according to police.

The victim was hospitalized in stable condition, police said.
