Man Tries To Rape Tinder Date In Vanderbilt Ave Hotel: NYPD
The man pulled a knife on a woman before attacking her, police said.

MIDTOWN, NY – Police are hunting a man they say walked into a Vanderbilt Avenue hotel, pulled a knife on a woman and tried to rape her.
The victim managed to fight off the man and he ran away, police said. The woman suffered minor injuries during the attack. The attacker and victim met on the Tinder dating app and arranged to meet, an NYPD spokesman said.
The incident happened at 8:05 p.m. on Feb 17 in the hotel at Vanderbilt Avenue and East 45th Street, police said.

The attacker is described as between 18 and 25 years old, 5-foot-8, 160 lbs with black hair, facial hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a green jacket, a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and gray shoes.
