Michael Jackson Musical Coming To Broadway, Reports Say
Award-winning playwright Lynn Nottage will write the musical, which will be based on the King of Pop's life.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — A biographical musical featuring Michael Jackson's songs is making its way to Broadway, according to reports.
Jackson's estate announced intentions to create a jukebox musical based on the life of the "King of Pop" in partnership with Columbia Live Stage, the New York Times first reported. The musical will benefit from the talents of Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Lynn Nottage and Tony Award-winning director and choreographer Christopher Wheeldon, according to the report.
The jukebox musical — a production that features the hit songs of a popular musical group or artist — has taken over Broadway in recent years. The Jackson-inspired musical is expected to debut sometime in 2020, the New York Times reported.
