Midtown Senior, 79, Goes Missing After Leaving Hospital: Police

MIDTOWN, NY — A 79-year-old Midtown woman has gone missing after leaving a lower Manhattan hospital on Thursday, according to police, who are asking for the public's help in finding her.

Lin Xiu Guan was last seen around 8:10 p.m. Thursday leaving NewYork-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital at 83 Gold St., police said, and that she lives in a building on West 38th Street near Eighth Avenue.

Officials described her as five foot one inches tall with gray hair and approximately weighing 120 pounds. Police said she was last seen wearing a pink sweater, black pants, white shoes and a black backpack.

Police also released an image of Guan and asked anyone with information to call NYPD Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). People can also submit tips online or on Twitter, @NYPDTips.
