Motorcyclist Hits, Kills Pedestrian In Hell's Kitchen
An Arizona man died after being struck by a motorcyclist while he crossed 12th Avenue in Hell's Kitchen this week, police said.

HELL'S KITCHEN, NY — An Arizona man was killed this week when he was hit by a motorcyclist while crossing a Hell's Kitchen street, police said.
The crash happened around 5:39 a.m. Tuesday, when the victim — Christopher Bailey, a resident of Chandler, Ariz. — was walking west across 12th Avenue at West 48th Street.
A 32-year-old man riding a 2014 Honda motorcycle south along 12th Avenue struck Bailey in the street.

Police responded and found Bailey, 43, in the roadway complaining of head pain. The unnamed motorcycle operator also had injuries to his arms, police said.
Bailey was rushed to Mount Sinai-Morningside Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The motorcycle rider was brought to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.

Police have made no arrests and an investigation is ongoing.
Since 2011, there have been 13 crashes at the intersection of West 48th Street and 12th Avenue, injuring three pedestrians and 23 motorists, according to city data — not including this week's fatal crash.
