Movie Nights Return To Bryant Park, Lineup Announced
Catch free screenings of movies such as "The Breakfast Club" and "Little Miss Sunshine" this summer at Bryant Park.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — With the New York City summer nearly in full swing, the Bryant Park Movie Nights screening series has announced which films it will be showing for free between June and August.
The film series will kick off June 18 with "The Breakfast Club" and run until an August 20 finale of "The Terminator," according to a press release. This summer's series will feature 10 screenings, all of which are free to the public.
The free screenings generally bring massive crowds to the Bryant Park lawn. The lawn opens at 5 p.m. during the screenings and seating is available on a first-come-first-serve basis. The gravel area surrounding the lawn opens at 4 p.m., so moviegoers have plenty of time to show up early in the hopes of claiming a choice spot on the grass.

The actual screenings won't begin until the sun goes down, usually around 8 or 9 p.m. in the middle of summer, so bringing snacks or dinner to pass the time is recommended. Park security will inspect all bags and backpacks of anyone trying to get on the lawn for a film screening.
