NBA Star Kevin Porter Cuffed, Accused Of Abusing GF In Midtown: Cops
The basketball player made his $75k bail after an arrest for hitting his WNBA girlfriend, officials said, reportedly fracturing a vertebra.

MIDTOWN, NY — A basketball star was arrested in a swanky Midtown hotel early Monday morning on charges he attacked his girlfriend, according to police officials.
Houston Rockets guard Kevin Porter Jr. was arrested inside the four-star Millennium Hilton New York Hotel at 6:30 a.m. and charged with assault and strangulation, police said.
Police officers arrived after receiving a call reporting an assault inside the hotel at 1 UN Plaza and discovered a 26-year woman with lacerations on the right side of her face, police said.

Officials added that there were signs that the woman had been struck multiple times around her body and was brought to a local hospital in stable condition.
According to the New York Post, the woman was Porter's WNBA-playing girlfriend, and reportedly fractured a vertebra during the beating.

Porter was arraigned on Monday, the Post reported. He signed a $63.4 million contract with the Houston Rockets in 2022.
On Tuesday afternoon, Porter was out free after making his $75,000 bail payment, the Post reported.
