NYC Broadway Week 2019: Claim 2-For-1 Tickets To Hit Shows

NEW YORK, NY — Theater lovers can currently buy 2-for-1 tickets to some of Broadway's most popular shows ahead of this year's NYC Broadway Week. The annual promotional event will run from January 21 through February 10, according to New York City's tourism agency.

NYC Broadway Week features 24 different shows this year, including hits such as Tony-winning best musicals "The Book of Mormon" and "Dear Evan Hansen." Both shows are participating in the 2-for-1 NYC Broadway Week deal for the first time, tourism officials said.

"Broadway is synonymous with New York City and NYC Broadway Week is an exciting way to discover and experience the world’s best theater at an extraordinary value," Fred Dixon, president and CEO of NYC & Company, said in a statement.

NYC Broadway Week is also a great opportunity to check out long-running favorites such as "The Lion King," "Kinky Boots" and "The Phantom of the Opera." Since Broadway Week's creation in 2011, the promotion has sold more than 1,225,000 tickets — resulting in $84 million in revenue for Broadway productions.

The annual promotion is organized by the city's tourism agency NYC & Company in partnership with organizations such as AARP, Audience Rewards, The Broadway League, Telecharge and Ticketmaster.

"With nearly three weeks of 2-for-1 tickets and a wide variety of productions including family friendly shows, creative revivals and exciting new works, it’s a great time to go to the theatre."
