New York Comic Con 2022 Starts This Week: What To Know
Here's what to know about the 2022 New York Comic Con, which will soon cause costumed cosplayers to flood streets near the Javits Center.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — If you spot groups of costumed geeks hanging out near Hudson Yards or riding the 7 train this week, they might be early Halloween revelers — but more likely, they're attending New York Comic Con.
The annual convention kicks off Thursday, running from Oct. 6-9 at the Javits Center. Tickets are still on sale, for what organizers describe as "the East Coast's largest pop culture convention."
Among the guests expected to attend: Daniel Radcliffe and "Weird Al" Yankovic, promoting their upcoming biopic; fellow actors including Brendan Fraser, Oscar Isaac, Evan Rachel Wood, Christopher Lloyd, Michael J. Fox and Jamie Lee Curtis; and a long list of comic book artists and other creatives.

Though its name resembles the world-famous San Diego Comic-Con, the New York event is unaffiliated from most other U.S. conventions. Organized by ReedPop, the New York event has grown since its 2006 inception to rival the San Diego event, drawing a record 260,000 people in 2019.
Tickets cost $212 for a standard four-day pass, or $80 each for a one-day pass — plus cheaper prices for children.
