NEW YORK, NY — Thousands of protesters will take to Central Park West and Midtown Manhattan avenues on Saturday for New York City's fourth Women's March since the inauguration of President Donald Trump back in 2017.

Unlike protests in many other cities around the United States, the Women's March in New York City has no connection to the national Women's March organization that was initially organized by activists such as Tamika Mallory, Bob Bland and Linda Sarsour. The three stepped down in 2019 after accusations of anti-Semitism within the organization. The scandal prompted New York City organizers, a group called the Women's March Alliance, to sever ties with the national organization.
