Pedestrian Critically Struck, 3 Hurt By Car On Midtown Street: Police
A 22-year-old man was in critical condition after being hit by a driver in an early morning Sunday crash, officials said.

MIDTOWN, NY — A 22-year-old is in critical condition after being struck by a driver in Midtown early Sunday morning, police said.
Three other people were also injured when the driver smashed into another car, officials said, sending one to the hospital in stable condition.
At about 2 a.m., a 22-year-old man was crossing Sixth Avenue at West 39th Street when a 38-year-old driving a 2013 Ford Fiesta smashed into him, according to police.

The victim was thrown to the ground, suffering severed body trauma, police said, and was rushed to Bellevue Hospital in critical condition.
After hitting the 22-year-old, the Ford smashed into an empty parked Audi, which then slammed into a car with three people inside, officials said.

While all three people were injured, only one accepted medical treatment and was also brought to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition, according to police.
Officials said that while driver remained at the scene and has not been charged as of Monday morning, the collision remains under investigation.
