Pedestrian Struck In Midtown Intersection, FDNY Says

The pedestrian was taken to a nearby hospital after being struck by a vehicle at Lexington Avenue and East 51st Street.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — A pedestrian was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle in a Midtown Manhattan intersection on Thursday afternoon, an FDNY spokesman said.

The pedestrian was walking on Lexington Avenue and East 51st Street shortly before 1 p.m. when they were hit, an FDNY spokesman said. Medics rushed the person to NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.

An FDNY spokesman could not confirm details about the person's age or condition. The New York City Police Department had no available information about the collision, a department spokesman said.
