Person Hit By Train At 42nd Street, Subways Delayed: MTA

Subways were running express on Monday after a person was struck by a train at 42nd Street, the MTA said.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — A person was hit by a train at a Midtown subway station Monday morning, affecting transit service, according to the MTA.

The person was struck just before 10 a.m. at the 42nd Street-Port Authority Bus Terminal station, an FDNY spokesperson said.

The department said the victim was in cardiac arrest, and was taken to Bellevue Hospital. Their condition was unclear.

Uptown A-C-E trains were all running with delays and skipping 42nd street in the ensuing minutes, with C and E trains running express from Canal Street to 42nd Street (for the E train) and Columbus Circle (for the C), the MTA said in a series of tweets.

The trains resumed stopping at 42nd Street by 10:30 a.m., the MTA said.
