Person Struck By Train At 53rd Street: Expect Delays
A person was struck by a train Friday morning at the Fifth Avenue/53rd Street station in Midtown, according to the MTA.

UPDATE: 2:25 P.M.
Northbound E and M trains have resumed service at the Fifth Avenue/53rd Street stop after a person was hit by a train at the station earlier on Friday, according to the MTA.
"Extensive delays" are still expected in both directions, the MTA added.

MIDTOWN, NY — There are delays for E and M trains after a person was struck by a train Friday morning at the Fifth Avenue/53rd Street station, according to the MTA.
The accident happened around 10:25 a.m. The person has not been identified, and there is no information on their condition.

"Northbound E trains are running on the F line from W 4 St-Wash Sq to Jackson Hts-Roosevelt Ave," the MTA tweeted. "Northbound M trains are running on the F line from 47-50 Sts-Rockefeller Ctr to 36 St. For service to/from skipped stations, take a southbound train."
