Person Struck By Train Near Penn Station, MTA Says
A person was hit by a train on the E line tracks between Penn Station and 23rd Street.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — A person was struck by a train Tuesday morning on the subway tracks near Penn Station, transit officials said.
The person was hit on the southbound E line tracks between 34th Street-Penn Station and 23rd Street shortly after 8:30 a.m., transit officials said. Crews cut power to the third rail as medics operated at the scene to remove the person from the tracks.
Delays and service changes affected the A, C, E, F and M lines as first responders operated on scene, transit officials said. Southbound E trains were re-rerouted to the M and F lines starting at the Fifth Avenue and 53rd Street station and northbound E trains were re-routed to the F line from Second Avenue to West 4th Street.

Southbound service was suspended on the A, C and E lines from 59 St-Columbus Circle to Canal St and from Canal Street to Jay Street-MetroTech on the A and C lines.
