Pop Up 'Rosé Mansion' Attracts Wine Lovers To Midtown

The two-story "mansion" features 14 Rosé-themed rooms, wine tastings and a great backdrop to get social media likes.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — Summer is the season of social media-friendly pop ups in New York City, and another has hit Midtown Manhattan with gallons of rosé in tow.

The Rosé Mansion opened earlier this month in a two-story space on Fifth Avenue featuring 14 interactive rooms, wine tastings and picture-perfect backdrops and props to get your Instagram followers to click the "like" button.

Unlike many likeminded pop ups, the minds behind Rosé Mansion have added an educational twist to the event, according to a press release. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the history of the wine, the regions it's produced in and the science behind making the pink stuff while enjoying their eight rosé samples (equal to two full glasses).

The Rosé Mansion's interactive exhibits are split up into 14 different rooms, each with their own themes. Certain rooms focus on sparkling wines, wines made by blending different grapes, New York-based wineries and an exhibit about wine in the time of ancient Rome.

But the biggest draw for social-media savvy visitors will likely be Instagram-friendly features such as a giant swinging chandelier, a bar filled with hot pink sand and a bathtub full of roses in a pristine garden setting.

The Rosé Mansion is marketing tickets at $35 for weekday visits before 4:30 p.m. and $45 for weekday visits after 4:30 p.m. and all weekend visits. The pop up will run at its current Midtown space through Oct. 7, according to a press release. In addition to a tour of the pop up and wine tastings, price of admission also gets visitors a Rosé Mansion pin and wine glass.
