Porsche Driver Crashes Into 4 Parked Cars In Midtown, Police Say
The driver of a 2014 Porsche Gemballa Mirage GT crashed his expensive car twice on 11th Avenue.
MIDTOWN-HELL'S KITCHEN, NY — The driver of a modified Porsche supercar is facing charges for driving under the influence after smashing his pricey vehicle into four parked cars in Hell's Kitchen.
Benjamin Chen, 33, was arrested Tuesday morning in the intersection of West 44th Street and 11th Avenue after smashing his 2014 Porsche Gemballa Mirage GT into three parked vehicles, police said. Just prior to the wreck, Chen drove his Porsche into the rear of a parked car further up the avenue before fleeing the scene, police said.
Chen was charged with reckless driving and operating a motor vehicle impaired by drugs, police said. The drugs Chen is suspected of using were not revealed. Remarkably, Chen managed not to hurt anyone, including himself, during both crashes.
